MILTON HOUSE

The kitchen at Milton House is the hub of the property. With terracotta tiles and a traditional butchers block, it is the perfect, traditional kitchen. The house might date back to the early 18oo’s but the appliances are bang up to date, with an Esse range, Smeg fridge and Tassimo coffee machine as well as kettle, toaster and dishwasher. The separate utility has a microwave, washing machine and another sink, while the coach house adjoining the property houses the tumble dryer. Off the kitchen is a glass covered seating area with French doors onto the courtyard. 

Both the living and dining rooms at Milton House have large bay windows that look out onto the street, making them a brilliant place to watch and listen to the horses go by on their morning trips to the gallops. Log burners in both rooms keep them toasty in winter, along with the original shutters for the windows. Both rooms can comfortably seat all 6 guests, meaning there is more than enough space for everyone to relax.

The house boasts three large bedrooms, one double and two kings. Each has its own character, in keeping with the traditional feel of the house, whilst being fully equipped with all the luxuries you need for your stay. The main bedroom has an ensuite and both of the king rooms have large TV’s, perfect for those lazy mornings. There is plenty of space to unpack and make yourself at home, with the luxury bedding and mattresses making for a wonderful night’s sleep.

The large main bathroom at Milton House has a huge rolltop bath and large separate shower all with Burlington fittings. The master bedroom has an ensuite with a shower, sink and toilet and there is also a large downstairs loo with a traditional, high level toilet.

At the back of the house there is a quiet, cosy courtyard with outdoor furniture, perfect for al-fresco drinks and dining. The courtyard is also accessed through the coach house, meaning that muddy feet and dogs can be cleaned before they go into the house after all those long walks. At the front of the house there is ample off-street parking and plenty of racehorses trotting past the living room and dining room windows, a brilliant alternative to watching TV!
